Entry fee $100 single, $200 family (2 adults & 2 children under 16) (includes GST). Tickets on sale at participating Canadian Tire Stores, fishing tackle stores and official weigh stations. Family tickets must be purchased from Head Office. Contest rules are available at weigh stations. Participants must purchase their entry tickets no later than the day before the day fishing begins. Your Salmon Derby one-day ticket is included when you fish with a charter boat registered with the Toronto Sun/Toronto Sportsmen’s Show, Great Ontario Salmon Derby. CHAMPIONSHIP FISH-OFF*
September 13, 2008 at Credit Village Marina, City of Mississauga
7:00 a.m. - 12 o’clock noon. The 70 prize winners in the Great
Ontario Salmon Derby will participate in a four hour fishing derby.
Prizes for catching the four largest salmon. Following the Derby will be a luncheon at which $5,000 in prizes will be awarded. First prize: $2,000, Second prize: $1,500, Third prize: $1,000, Fourth prize: $500.

*No proxy presentation. Participation is optional. In the event of extreme weather on September 13, the prize money will be distributed via a draw (10 x $500) at the awards.


Catch the heaviest salmon each week using a Berkley Trilene or Fireline and win $1000 worth of Berkley tackle.
